Tenpenny is always open for submissions, but as a small indie press, our capacity for new projects is always limited.

You can send a pitch, work-in-progress, or completed work. We consider prose, poems, comics, recipes, drawings, songs — anything that tells a great story. But please read about the ~vibe~ we’re seeking below.

Right now, the max physical size of a book is 24 pages in a 5″ x 8″ trim size. Whatever you submit will need to fit in that.

What I’m looking for (the vibes):

Set in, based on, or in any way about Chattanooga, the Tennessee river valley, or Appalachia — this is the only required part. (If you’re from or live in any of these places, that counts!)
Touching on themes of work, craftsmanship, place, culture, and/or identity.
Bonus points for creative form, interactive elements, or anything unexpected.

Submission guidelines:

Please send your work as a PDF or DOC file – no links. Please send images and audio in common, easily-openable formats.
